Improving mental health at work is in everyone’s interest, however at the Mental Health Movement we know that it can often be difficult to demonstrate a clear return on investment for your employers.
We have developed our own Mental Health Workplace Audit that is actioned when Mental Health Movement commence with your workplace and again at the end of our Blueprint. The Audit involves a series of questions to your employees that allow you to identify:
• the main contributing factors to poor mental health specific to your workplace
• the prevalence of mental ill-health in your workplace
• mental health literacy levels
• mental health support skills
• personal mental health management skills
• EAP awareness, uptake and usage
• barriers to seeking support through the EAP
It also gives the workforce an opportunity to provide feedback on what they think could assist in developing a mentally healthy supportive environment.
These audits show there is often room to move in workplaces to improve education and behaviours around mental health, but more importantly it allows you to better identify and understand the struggles facing your employees which is crucial to developing an effective mental health strategy.
Detailed reports will be completed for the opening and closing audits outlining results across our key measures, work completed, feedback from workforce, recommendations and testimonials.
